Windows Download the file ending in -setup.exe Mac Download the .dmg file. Apple Silicon and Intel.

Both links open the latest release on GitHub. Under Assets, pick the file for your computer and ignore the “Source code” links. The .msi file is the same Windows program, for IT departments that install software centrally.

Installing

Windows

Run the -setup.exe file you downloaded.
If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway.

Mac

Open the .dmg file and drag Trendy Accounting into Applications.
The first time you open it, macOS may say it can’t check the app. If it does, open System Settings › Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the message about Trendy Accounting and click Open Anyway. You only need to do this once.

These warnings appear because the installers aren’t code-signed yet.

Try the demo

When the program opens, click Try the demo to explore a sample store’s books. Add up to 20 entries of your own. There’s no time limit.

Set up your business

Paste the licence code you received with your purchase. Don’t have one? Buy a licence.

Keep backups

Your books are a file on your computer. Use Settings › Backups to keep copies on a USB drive or in a cloud folder such as OneDrive, in case your computer fails.

The program checks for a new version each time it starts and offers to install it. Trouble installing? Email us.
