What happens if I don’t renew the update plan?
The program keeps working and your books stay as they are. You just don’t get new versions. Payroll needs the new year’s tax rates each January, which come with the update plan, so renew if you run payroll.
I have two businesses. Do I need two licences?
Yes. Each licence covers one business, and a second business needs its own licence.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You pay $350 once, then $75 a year if you want updates.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Download the program and choose “Try the demo.” You get a sample store’s books to explore, plus up to 20 entries of your own, with no time limit.
Where are my books kept?
In a file on your own computer, not in the cloud. Use the built-in backups to keep copies on a USB drive or in a cloud folder you choose.
Can my bookkeeper and I work in the books at the same time?
No. The books are on one computer and one person works in them at a time.
Does it work outside Nova Scotia?
Bookkeeping, invoicing and GST/HST work anywhere in Canada. Payroll covers Nova Scotia today, and more provinces are coming.
Is AI invoice scanning included?
Yes. It uses your business’s own Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini account, so any charges for that account are between you and that provider.
